Tennis Opens

It's Thanksgiving Day and a newspaper arrives at your house. There isn't much by way of actual news, but it's chock full of advertisements from various local shops. You spend hours scouring the ads and making shopping lists and notes about which stores you should hit first, how much time you are allotted at each store before you must leave to get to the best deal at the next store. Then you must decide how early you should wake up. The first store you picked opens at 5am. Should you wake up at 3:00 so you're in line by 3:30 or 4:00?

There you are - 4:00 a.m. in the cold parking lot of your local big box store so you can be one of the first in line to get the must have bargain at their day after thanksgiving sale. Cold, tired and being pushed and shoved around by 100's of other shoppers, is it really worth it?

Most times, stores plan on hundreds of items being in stock for the big sale of the year. Even if you don't make it to the store right as the doors open, there will still be that item available 2 hours later when you do finally manage to get to the store.

If there is an item that you MUST have and it's a particularly fabulous deal, then by all means you should wake before the crack of dawn and arrive to make this purchase. If it's an item that you really want, but can live without, then sleep that extra hour or two and arrive in time to get the last few on the shelves. Is it really worth the lack of sleep to save an extra $20?

Are You Ready For Your Thanksgiving Sale? The Thanksgiving Sales are going to be a huge event and every year the madness seems to start earlier. There are things you can do to be prepared and get the bargains that really matter.

Black Friday Sales are an event that everyone should take part in at least once just to see the crazy stuff people do to save a few dollars.
